Doreau's Wood Workshop

A wood workshop, is a place, never large enough, with wood, a lots of woods, all kinds of wood that leave guess colors and textures underneath the dust, native woods in large dry board, not yet sawed, and exotic woods in small trunks, and also in the workshop many small pieces of wood, boxes full of other pieces that can serve a day...
There are woodworking machines scattered everywhere in the place, and on the bench, sculptures underway with drawings crayon, and some sketches just sawed, other sculptures still waiting..., and some of them just needs one more last sanding or varnish finish...
It is a place where it is pleasant to work with the sun coming from south, even in winter, good to develop volumes, and some neon lights for rainy days when the sun is not so shiny.
But it's a place especially full of odors, some fresh and strong from wood that has just been cut, pieces in spiral everywhere, and sanding dust often that settle everywhere...This is a wood workshop...

The association of Artists of Loir et Cher organize since many years Wood Creations | Doreau's Workshop | Exhibitions the Showroom of "Trade of art" in Blois in december. Attracted as an exhibitor since 1991 by the welcome and the quality, with their request, I have invested myself since new years as a member of the office. It's a real pleasure to try to do in an exhibition everything that we'd love to find everywhere else.
